FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the cost of tuition for 2026-2027?

$7,000 - it is broken down into two parts. Our tuition is $6,200. This is eligible for Ed Choice. The remaining costs are fews for technology and facilities management and can be spread over the course of the school year in a payment plan.

What type of financial aid tuition assistance is available?

We accept EdChoice Scholarships.  If other assistance is needed after the EdChoice, that will be accessed on a case by case basis. We are connected with an Ohio SGO provider, and we have certain foundation donors who may assist with tuition needs in some cases.

Where can I access information about the EdChoice scholarship?

What sort of curriculum will be used?

Positive Action Bible, Purposeful Design math and science curriculum, and UFLI Reading Curriculum. We also use BJU Press curriculum for grades 3-8 with additions of community based First Aid training, Home Economics, Computer Science and Technology. We use a mix of multi-media offerings to help every learner access the educational information in a way that supports their individual learning style while meeting the standards of Ohio's Education Core expectations.

Will transportation be provided?

You can access school transportation for your Madison based student by requesting services from the Madison Local School District. Parents must make this connection on behalf of their child. The school cannot make these arrangements, unfortunately.

Will additional grades be added in coming years?

We are expanding our current charter from a K-3 school to a K-8 school at this time. We do have plans to add high school services when the time is right and the need is present.  At this time we are expanding as we have strong teaching staff to help us maintain our standards of excellence.  For the 26-27 school year we will be offering classes for K-4th grade.

What are the age requirements for Kindergarten registration?

Due to the new state laws about student age, students must be 5 years old before the first day of school. However, if your student will not be 5 years of age at the first day of school, it may be possible for them to enter school if they show exceptional academic skills and can demonstrate appropriate maturity to be in an all day school setting. They would need to participate in academic testing and an interview to determine if early entrance is right for them.

Does my child need to live in Madison to attend?

No

Do I need to attend Lake Erie Church, for my child to attend your school?

No. You may attend whatever church you choose. We do encourage our families to attend church, and if you are looking for a home church, we would love to have you visit LEC.

What is the dress code?

Objective: The goal of the dress code is to assist students in developing the skills needed to
present themselves as Christian witnesses in the world, with an outward appearance
that reflects modesty, neatness, and simplicity.

Tops - Must be modest and cover the torso completely. Sleeveless tops may be

worn; halter tops and spaghetti straps may not be worn. No graphic tees or large logos/fonts aside from GMA apparel.

Bottoms - Uniform pants, knee-length dresses or skirts may be worn. Knee length
skirts and dresses must be worn with solid-colored athletic shorts or leggings
underneath, but leggings cannot be worn as pants.

Footwear - Casual, or athletic shoes; must be closed toed and have a back; socks
or hosiery required. Crocks may be worn if they are worn in "sports Mode".  No Heelys, slippers, or flip flops.  Snow boots are encouraged when the weather requires it. However, we ask that students regular shoes during the school day and have the boots to change into for recess or traveling to and from school.

Sweaters/Vests/Sweatshirts - May be worn during the school day. Hoodies worn if their are GMA apparel.

Outerwear - Jackets/coats/hats/mittens/gloves as appropriate during outdoor times and travel to and from school.

Jewelry - Should be worn in moderation. We allow ear piercing, but students
are limited to a maximum of two earlobe piercings. Wearing of other facial piercings are not allowed during school hours or activities.

Hair - Hair must be neatly combed and not hanging in the face. If a hairstyle becomes a distraction to other students, we may need to discuss modifications. Our moto is self-expressions are wonderful as long as they do not become a distraction in the learning environment.

How many students attend GMA?

We value small class sizes and low teacher to student ratios. And we want to build the school with a strong foundation. As a result, our first year of operations started with a small class of 10 Kindergarten and First grade students. We are planning to expand to 40 in our second year and then let the Lord lead moving forward. Being the best possible environment for our students is our priority.
